Drug & Alcohol Detoxification Facilities in North Dakota

North Dakota is a difficult state to gauge as far as their drug situation is concerned, as they do not regularly report overdose deaths to a national entity. This may be due to the small population of the state, as well as the relative lack of large cities throughout North Dakota. One of the few reports that are available, however, involves crystal meth and fentanyl. In 2017, North Dakota experienced around 7 crystal meth overdose deaths per 100,000 residents, and while not exactly high, this is significantly higher than the surrounding states. Additionally, in October 2017, the Department of Justice indicted two Chinese nationals, one of whom was living in North Dakota at the time, for fentanyl manufacturing and distribution. They had access to a fentanyl manufacturing facility in Hong Kong that was capable of ton-quantity fentanyl production and was distributing this dangerous drug on the internet. While the exact scope of the drug situation is still somewhat murky in North Dakota, if someone is struggling with drug or alcohol addiction in the state, there is help available. There are many drug and alcohol detox centers all across the state, and these centers can help someone begin their journey of recovery in a safe and effective way.
