About Addiction Recovery Medical Services
Addiction Recovery Medical Services, known by patients as A.R.M.S., is a faith-based outpatient opioid treatment program with two locations in central North Carolina: the main clinic at 536 Signal Hill Drive Extension in Statesville and a second office at 31 East Main Avenue in Taylorsville. The clinic describes itself as ‘a Ministry of Help From Hope To Healing’ and is structured around a core belief that addiction is a treatable disease best addressed with a combination of medication, counseling, and structured accountability.
Clinical services begin with medically monitored outpatient opioid detoxification, followed by medication-assisted opioid maintenance with buprenorphine or methadone. Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) with Suboxone prescriptions is available for patients who fit that model. Individual counseling and group therapy are integrated into every treatment plan, with person-centered planning shaping how care progresses. Adjunct services include tobacco cessation medications and education, urine drug confirmation analysis, and breathalyzers – tools that support both treatment progress and accountability.
A.R.M.S. is structured to be accessible to working adults. The Statesville clinic opens for dosing as early as 4:00 AM on Wednesdays and 5:00 AM on most other weekdays, with Saturday dosing from 6:30 to 9:30 AM. Counseling hours run 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday through Friday. New patients are accepted on a walk-in basis with same-day service – intake, medical examination, and initial dosing can all happen in one visit. An after-hours crisis line at 704-878-8121 is available outside of clinic hours.
A.R.M.S. is CARF-accredited and operates as a state-certified Opioid Treatment Program. The clinic accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, TRICARE, state insurance, and self-pay. The ‘Cost of Treatment’ page on the website is published openly to help prospective patients plan financially. Google reviews currently average 4.5 across 16 reviews, and the clinic is recognized as serving veterans, pregnant women, seniors, court-ordered clients, individuals living with HIV/AIDS, and a broad mix of adults across Iredell and Alexander counties.
