About Spark Wellness
Spark Wellness is a residential and outpatient treatment center located at 1010 5th Street, Suite A-200 in Oregon City, Oregon — in Clackamas County — formerly operating as SLO Recovery Center. The facility treats substance use disorders alongside co-occurring mental health conditions and trauma, serving residents across Oregon and Pennsylvania. For individuals in acute withdrawal who need immediate clinical intervention, Spark Wellness offers medically supervised detox as its entry-level care option.
Spark Wellness operates three distinct levels of care: Medical Detox, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and a standard Outpatient Program. This continuum allows patients to step down from medically supervised detox into less intensive outpatient programming as their clinical needs change, rather than being discharged into an unstructured environment. The availability of 24/7 admissions means someone in crisis does not have to wait for a business-hours callback to begin the intake process.
The clinical approach at Spark Wellness incorporates a range of therapy modalities confirmed by the facility, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Expressive Therapy, Yoga Therapy, individual and group therapy, family counseling, and relapse prevention education. The center specifically addresses co-occurring disorders and dual diagnosis, as well as trauma and PTSD — conditions frequently intertwined with substance use. Partnered sober living is available for patients who need supported housing after completing treatment, and telehealth services extend access to those in rural areas.
Spark Wellness serves several specific populations: veterans — with TRICARE accepted as a payment method — young adults aged 18 to 25, men, women, and individuals who are court-ordered into treatment. Payment options include Medicaid, state insurance, private insurance, TRICARE, sliding scale fees, and self-pay. Aftercare is structured through alumni services and an engagement app (ERP), and a family support group meets weekly both on-site and virtually at no additional cost to families.
