About Addictions Crisis Center
The Addictions Crisis Center (ACC) is the immediate-access stabilization and detox program operated by the Finger Lakes Area Counseling & Recovery Agency (FLACRA). Located at 28 East Main Street in Clifton Springs, New York, the program is positioned as the front door of FLACRA’s continuum, available 24 hours a day to adults across the Finger Lakes region experiencing crisis related to substance use or co-occurring mental health concerns.
Clinically, the ACC focuses on withdrawal management and short-term residential stabilization. Adults entering the program receive medical assessment, monitored detox support, and the structure needed to move out of acute substance use before transitioning into longer-term care. From the ACC, clients can step into FLACRA’s residential services, outpatient programming, medication-assisted treatment including methadone, family services, and the Connections Rounded Recovery peer program. The agency operates a single 24-hour intake line, 833-4-FLACRA, which centralizes access for clients, families, and referring providers.
FLACRA was founded in 1973 and is licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS). The agency serves Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Schuyler, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates counties and is funded by the counties it serves, the New York State OASAS, voluntary contributions, and community support. Its whole-person care model integrates physical and social healthcare alongside addiction services, with care management, housing, and vocational support extending recovery beyond clinical sessions.
The ACC accepts Medicaid, private insurance, TRICARE, state insurance, sliding-scale arrangements, and self-pay, which makes it one of the most financially accessible crisis and detox programs in the region. For adults in the Finger Lakes facing an immediate substance use crisis and needing a safe place to begin recovery, the Addictions Crisis Center offers a clear, 24/7 entry point into a long-running and trusted community-based treatment system.
