About Mended Reeds Mental Health
Mended Reeds Mental Health has served Southeastern Ohio since 2006, operating from 700 Park Avenue in downtown Ironton. The CARF-accredited organization provides an integrated continuum of substance use and mental health services, certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS) and CARF.
The Ironton facility delivers the full continuum of care: medical detox to stabilize clients through withdrawal, residential treatment for those needing 24-hour structured care, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and standard outpatient services for clients who can engage in recovery while maintaining home life. This range gives Mended Reeds the flexibility to meet clients where they are and step care up or down as recovery progresses.
The clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) anchor the work, with trauma-focused therapy available for clients carrying trauma alongside their substance use or mental health concerns. Individual, group, and family counseling are part of the program. Mended Reeds is particularly known throughout Lawrence County as the preferred treatment provider for at-risk youth, with extensive experience in family preservation and parenting education.
Mended Reeds serves a broad population: adolescents, pregnant women, young adults, men, women, adults, children, and Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients, including court-ordered referrals. Treatment is delivered in schools, homes, and the Ironton offices. The program accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, self-pay, and sliding scale fees. Reach the office at (740) 532-1613 to begin admission.
