About Sovegna
Sovegna operates a private outpatient clinic at 850 East 300 South in Salt Lake City, focused on integrated mental health and addiction recovery for clients who want a discreet, high-touch alternative to traditional rehab. The name Sovegna is drawn from an old Italian word meaning ‘be mindful,’ and that mindfulness orientation runs through the entire clinical model.
The program is built around what the practice calls the Mental Health Trifecta and a TIRF framework, short for trauma-informed and resilience-focused. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, the team layers integrative psychiatry, skilled therapy, restorative nutrition, and meditative movement so each plan addresses the full picture of a client’s life. Sovegna treats addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, and complex psychiatric concerns including co-occurring disorders.
Clinical modalities span the full range of contemporary outpatient psychiatry. Cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR provide trauma-focused and skills-based therapy. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) extend treatment options for clients who have not responded to first-line interventions, and integrative psychiatry brings nutrition, lifestyle, and medication into a coordinated plan. The team is licensed and board-certified, led by founder Dr. Susie Wiet alongside clinical mental health counselors, a nurse practitioner, and licensed clinical social workers.
Sovegna operates as a self-pay practice, which the team describes as a tradeoff that allows for longer appointment times, integrated services, and individualized care that insurance constraints often limit. The clinic is positioned for adults, professionals, and adolescents who need a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach without the constraints of higher levels of care.
