About
About Valley Vista
Valley Vista has guided Vermonters and out-of-state clients through drug and alcohol recovery for two decades, operating its primary campus at 23 Upper Plain in Bradford. The program offers a full clinical continuum: medical detoxification for clients who need supervised withdrawal, residential inpatient treatment for those benefiting from a structured 24/7 therapeutic setting, and outpatient services that support ongoing recovery as clients re-engage with daily life.
The clinical model blends evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and rational emotive behavior therapy with experiential modalities such as yoga, reiki, mindfulness practices, and creative journaling. Twelve-step programming complements clinical work for clients who find value in peer-led mutual aid. Gender-specific tracks for men and women, alongside a dedicated veterans program, ensure that clients are placed in cohorts that reflect their lived experience and clinical needs.
Valley Vista treats a broad range of substances including alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, opiates, prescription drugs, and Xanax, and the program is well-suited for co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, and trauma. The clinical team works actively with health plans to make treatment accessible, partnering as in-network with carriers including Green Mountain Care, Vermont Medicaid, BlueCross BlueShield, United Healthcare, Harvard Pilgrim, Optum, MVP, Martin’s Point, Cigna, CDPHP, Fidelis Care, Carelon Behavioral Health, Beacon Health Options, TRICARE, and the VA Community Care Network. Self-pay and financial assistance options are available for clients whose carriers do not have a direct contract.
Located in rural Orange County, Vermont, the Valley Vista campus offers an immersive setting for healing. Treatment begins immediately on arrival, with weekend clinical groups maintaining momentum across full seven-day weeks. The combination of clinical rigor, holistic support, and gender-specific programming has positioned Valley Vista as a trusted regional resource for substance use treatment in the Northeast.
