About Addiction Recovery Medical Services
Addiction Recovery Medical Services (A.R.M.S.) describes itself as a ministry of help, providing faith-based outpatient addiction treatment for adults in western North Carolina. The Taylorsville campus at 31 East Main Avenue is one of two ARMS locations – the second is in nearby Statesville at 536 Signal Hill Drive Ext. – serving Alexander, Iredell, and surrounding counties.
Clinical care centers on medically monitored opioid detoxification combined with medication-assisted treatment. ARMS uses buprenorphine and methadone as MAT medications and provides individual person-centered treatment planning, individual counseling, and group therapy. The program also offers Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) services that include Suboxone prescriptions. Tobacco cessation medications and education, urine drug confirmation analysis, and breathalyzer monitoring are part of the structured outpatient model.
One of ARMS’s distinctive operational features is walk-in admissions. The clinic accepts new patients on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday, with same-day intake, physician consultation, the start of the detox process, and personalized dosing all possible during a single visit. Dosing hours in Taylorsville run Monday through Thursday from 5:00 am to noon, Friday 5:00 am to 11:30 am, and Saturday from 6:30 am to 9:30 am, with Sunday closed. Counseling is open 5:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday.
ARMS is CARF-accredited and federally certified as an Opioid Treatment Program. SAMHSA records reflect specialized accommodations for veterans, pregnant women, young adults, older adults, court-ordered patients, and people living with HIV/AIDS, plus support for trauma and co-occurring conditions. Payment accepted includes Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, TRICARE, state-financed insurance, and self-pay. The clinic publishes an after-hours crisis line at 704-878-8121, with the main number at 704-872-0234 and email at armscanhelp@gmail.com.
