About Addictions Recovery Center Rogue Valley Fresh Start Detox
Addictions Recovery Center (ARC) is a Southern Oregon non-profit that has served the Rogue Valley for nearly 50 years, anchored today by its four-building East Main Street campus in Medford. The Rogue Valley Fresh Start Detox is the medically monitored withdrawal management arm of ARC and remains the only such service south of Eugene. Originally launched with eight beds in 2015, the detox has grown to ten beds and operates within the larger ARC continuum of care.
ARC’s full continuum includes medically monitored detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient and outpatient programs, an Addiction Medicine Clinic for medication-assisted treatment, a Walk-In Assessment Clinic, and limited transition housing. Reddy House, a 14-bed residential program launched in 2019, serves women and new mothers, while a 25-bed campus delivers men’s residential treatment. The campus model allows for integrated medical care, counseling, and recovery support all within a single Medford location.
Clinical leadership includes CEO Eric Guyer (MM, CADC III), Chief Clinical Officer Kim Oveson, Chief Operations Officer Danni Swafford, Chief Administration Officer Amber Duncan, CFO Monica Morales, Medical Director Leona O’Keefe, MD, and nursing leadership from Larissa Mejia-Medina, BSN, RN. The organization is CARF-accredited and serves clients in English and Spanish.
ARC treats substance use disorders alongside co-occurring mental health conditions, with explicit programming for opioid dependence, alcohol use disorder, and nicotine addiction. The non-profit also runs free gambling treatment for individuals and families, DUII classes, and sobering services for Jackson County. Veterans, men, women, new mothers, and families are all part of ARC’s population focus, with the agency continuing to expand engagement and mobile response capacity for people who are still contemplating treatment.
