About Alpine Recovery Lodge
Alpine Recovery Lodge is a private addiction and mental health treatment center tucked into the foothills of Alpine, Utah, north of Lehi. The program positions itself as a small, structured alternative to large institutional rehabs, designed for adults who need more than willpower or a quick reset and for families navigating the disorientation of someone they love struggling with substance use, mental health concerns, or both.
The lodge delivers a full coordinated continuum of care under one roof. Adults can enter through medically supervised detox, transition into residential treatment (RTC), and step down into partial hospitalization (PHP) day treatment, intensive outpatient (IOP), or standard outpatient support before continuing into aftercare. Conditions treated span substance use disorders, opioid use disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, and dual diagnosis presentations, with trauma-informed care woven across levels rather than offered as a separate track.
Clinically, the program builds on CBT and DBT skills training, supplemented by individual therapy, group therapy, and structured family counseling. Family involvement is explicit and operationalized: Alpine offers a family communication system, family therapy, a Family Lesson Library, and Family Support Groups so loved ones can do their own healing work in parallel with the client. The clinical team is led by Medical Director Hans Watson, DO, Clinical Director Kelli Bishop, LCSW, and Medical Physician Donald Harline, MD, with therapists, mental health specialists, a registered nurse, counselors, and support staff completing the team.
Alpine Recovery Lodge is Joint Commission accredited and works with most major insurance plans, offering private benefits verification before admission. Self-pay options are also available. The program’s published voice—calm, family-centered, non-shaming, and clear about what happens next—matches its small, private design and reflects its deliberate positioning against larger, more institutional treatment models.
