About Bel Aire Recovery Center
Bel Aire Recovery Center sits at 4969 North Tierra Lakes Parkway in Bel Aire, Kansas (Wichita metro), and serves adult men and women living with drug or alcohol addiction and the co-occurring mental health conditions that typically accompany them: anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related disorders. The clinical model is built around a brain-based framework that integrates cutting-edge neuro-counseling with holistic elements including emotional health, spirituality, exercise, nutritional guidance, and ongoing support.
Clinical care begins with medically monitored detox under nursing and medical provider oversight, led by Director of Nursing Terica J. Hall, RN and FNP-C Mallory Capps. After detox, patients step into the residential program where clinical leadership, Clinical Director Christina Ferran, LCPC and Quality and Performance Improvement Director Steve Brazill, MA, LAC, applies trauma-informed treatment alongside CBT and neuro-counseling. The Tactical Recovery Program is Bel Aire’s dedicated track for veterans, addressing the unique trauma and operational stressors that shape military substance use patterns.
Family programming is part of the model rather than an add-on. The team explicitly believes that addiction is a family illness and brings loved ones into structured programming during the patient’s residential stay. After discharge, the CaredFor App keeps alumni connected, and step-down IOP is offered at Bel Aire locations in Wichita and Oklahoma City for ongoing community-based care.
The facility is accredited by both The Joint Commission and CARF, a dual accreditation that puts the program through two independent quality reviews. Bel Aire accepts TRICARE alongside most major commercial insurance plans, state insurance, and self-pay, with admissions specialists available to verify benefits or coordinate appropriate referrals. The leadership team, including CEO Michael Truman, Director of Business Development Aaron Maxwell, Milieu Manager Deb Blenden, Director of Admissions and Utilization Review Karis Franken, and HR Director Amy Dinger, is publicly listed on the program’s website.
