The home-like cottage setting is intentionally small, allowing clinicians to keep client-to-staff ratios low and tailor care around each resident’s history, family dynamics, and clinical needs. Clinically, the program blends evidence-based modalities with experiential work. Adults arriving with alcohol, benzodiazepine, opioid, fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, or methamphetamine dependence can begin with medically supervised detox before stepping into residential care, with medication-assisted treatment available where appropriate. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other co-occurring disorders are treated alongside addiction, and the perinatal and postpartum track addresses the specific concerns of expectant and new mothers in recovery.
What sets Villa Ladera apart is the texture of daily life. Residents participate in equine-assisted therapy, alpaca-assisted sessions, and float therapy alongside individual and group counseling.
