About Dawn Inc Dawn Farm Spera Recovery Center
Dawn Farm Spera Recovery Center, operated by Dawn Inc., is a long-term residential addiction treatment program based at 502 W Huron Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The organization has built its model around the belief that any person can recover from addiction when given enough time, structure, and access to a vibrant recovering community. Clients here are not pushed toward arbitrary thirty-day milestones; many remain engaged for six months to two and a half years across multiple levels of care.
The Spera Recovery Center provides residential treatment and transitional housing within Dawn Farm’s continuum, which also includes detoxification, outpatient services, jail and community corrections work, and youth and family services. Residents care for the facility and prepare their own meals, an intentional design choice that develops daily living skills and accountability. Dawn Farm describes this approach as the Gold Standard of care, modeled on the continued-care approach physicians receive for substance use disorders.
Recovery support is woven into every layer of the program. Wrap-around services include peer support, case management, employment guidance, and connection to community recovery groups. Clients build relationships with members of the recovering community from their first day of treatment, and those relationships continue long after formal treatment ends. The program holds CARF accreditation.
As a CARF-accredited nonprofit raising its own scholarship funds, Dawn Farm structures admissions around clinical need rather than funder requirements. Prospective clients and families can reach the intake team at (734) 669-8265 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
