About Dragonfly Medical and
Dragonfly Medical and Behavioral Health operates from 102 North Broadway Street in downtown Johnson City, Tennessee, offering an integrated outpatient detox, substance-use, and mental-health practice for the Tri-Cities region. The clinic’s tagline – “Your Mental Health Comes First” – reflects a clinical model that treats behavioral health and substance use disorders as inseparable parts of overall wellness. Both in-person and telehealth visits are offered to expand access across Washington County and surrounding rural areas.
The practice is led by Medical Director Dr. Matthew Caffrey, MD, MPH, who oversees substance use treatment and primary care, and Clinical Director Dr. Alicia Caffrey, PhD, MS, a licensed clinical psychologist. Their team includes additional medical providers Dr. Tom Reach, MD; Nurse Practitioner Jeanne Marotta, NP; and Zachary Pierson, DO. Mental-health providers include licensed psychologists Dr. Adam Love, PsyD, and Dr. Alicia Caffrey, PhD; clinical social workers Rebecca Frazier, LMSW, and Cody Frasure, LCSW; Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Autum Wade, CPRS; and nursing staff member Cathy Pierce.
Clinical services include substance use treatment with detox programming, telehealth-delivered counseling, in-person and online group support sessions, certified peer recovery specialist services, and on-site nursing. Group sessions run multiple days per week, with a separate Women’s Group and group meetings scheduled in fifty-minute blocks. Clients arriving more than ten minutes late cannot join an in-progress group. The clinic also provides urine drug screen windows distinct from regular clinic hours.
