About
About Fellowship Center Alcohol and Other Drug Services
The Fellowship Center is a men-only addiction recovery program operating in Escondido, California for more than six decades. Founded in 1963, the organization is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS License 370009AN) and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as its core clinical framework. The facility sits at 737 East Grand Avenue in San Diego County and accepts Medicaid alongside community-funded financial assistance for men who cannot otherwise afford care.
Residential treatment at The Fellowship Center is built around varying lengths of stay, with 30-, 60-, 90-, and 120-day tracks that let clinicians and clients pick the duration that fits the severity of dependence and the work that needs to happen. The non-residential program offers the same clinical services in an outpatient format for men who need to stay connected to work or family during early recovery, and a sober living component provides independent, alcohol- and drug-free housing for graduates who are not yet ready to return to unsupervised environments.
Because addiction rarely stays inside one household, The Fellowship Center runs a dedicated family program that helps spouses, parents, and adult children take care of themselves while a loved one is in treatment. The program addresses the emotional toll of living with active addiction and teaches families how to rebuild relationships, set boundaries, and avoid enabling patterns once recovery begins.
The Fellowship Center is a community-supported nonprofit; while some funding flows from state contracts, donations and in-kind support from neighbors, alumni, and local businesses keep tuition accessible. Admissions runs seven days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and can be reached at (888) 533-9555.
