About First Step Recovery of Warren
First Step Recovery of Warren operates from 2737 Youngstown Road SE in Warren, Ohio as the inpatient flagship of the We Care More Ohio family of companies, which also includes Parkman Recovery Center and Travco Behavioral Health. The program serves adults eighteen and older across Trumbull County and the surrounding region, with admissions specifically welcoming pregnant women — a population many residential programs cannot accommodate.
Clinical services span the full inpatient continuum: medical detox, residential treatment, and extended care, with medication-assisted treatment available throughout. Once acute stabilization is achieved, clients can step into Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient programs that allow them to return to family, work, or school while continuing structured therapy. Community case management and peer support workers — many in recovery themselves — round out the team, addressing the practical barriers (housing, transportation, employment) that often determine whether sobriety holds.
For clients with significant mental health needs, the sister company Travco Behavioral Health offers psychiatry, medication management, EMDR, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and Spravato for treatment-resistant depression. The integration allows First Step clients with co-occurring depression, anxiety, or PTSD to access innovative psychiatric care without leaving the network. Pregnancy support, court-ordered programming, and accommodations for Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients are part of the standard service mix.
First Step Recovery is CARF accredited and accepts Medicaid, private insurance, and self-pay. After residential discharge, clients are connected with an alumni community and aftercare programming that includes relapse prevention groups, ongoing peer support, and community case management. The admissions team can be reached at 330-369-8022.
