About New Destiny Treatment Center
New Destiny Treatment Center is a Christ-centered residential and outpatient substance use treatment program on Taylor Road in Clinton, Ohio, in Wayne County. The organization brands its work as “Rescue. Renew. Return.” and has been operating for roughly three decades, growing from an outpatient ministry into a clinically designed nine-month residential and outpatient program that serves men, women, and a range of populations including veterans, pregnant women, older adults, and clients with co-occurring HIV/AIDS support needs.
The clinical framework integrates evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy with explicit Christ-centered counseling and pastoral care. The program describes addiction as a complex condition that requires more than willpower or a single prescription, and the nine-month rebirth model is structured to give clients sustained time to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of recovery. Levels of care include medical detox, residential treatment, an outpatient program, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP), allowing clients to step down through the continuum without leaving the New Destiny ecosystem.
The leadership team is led by Chief Executive Director Dr. Robert W. Bolois, PhD, LICDC-CS, who implemented the inpatient program for men that anchors the campus today. Medical Director Dr. Michael Jacobson, DO, MPH oversees the medical side, including detox-related care and integration with general medical services. Clinical Director Mark Bolois leads the clinical team, Program Director Ryan Kennedy coordinates day-to-day operations, and Christy Cocklin runs executive support and fundraising. Additional clinical and support staff include Dr. Jennifer Durham, Crystal Kern, Michael Drake, Wanda Schuller, Joe Forte, Lew English, and Michelle Swiger.
Financially, New Destiny accepts Medicaid, state insurance, private insurance, and self-pay, with the organization’s nonprofit posture and active donor base helping it serve clients who otherwise could not afford a nine-month residential stay. The program reports that clients who complete six months in the program have an 83 percent chance of graduating successfully, and graduate stories are regularly featured to highlight long-term recovery outcomes. Office hours run Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday until noon, with extensive 24/7 supports inside the residential program.
