About Parkwood Behavioral Health System
Parkwood Behavioral Health System occupies a 23-acre campus at 8135 Goodman Road in Olive Branch, Mississippi, just south of the Memphis metropolitan area. As part of the Universal Health Services (UHS) network, Parkwood delivers behavioral health and substance use treatment across the full lifespan — children, adolescents, adults and older adults — with a notably broad program menu for a single facility.
The adult programming includes a dedicated detox unit for medically supervised withdrawal, adult inpatient psychiatric care, and outpatient services. Transitions at Parkwood is the system’s specialized addiction treatment program, while Ivy Trails offers a women’s mental health program that addresses the specific clinical needs of women, including trauma, depression and co-occurring substance use. Adolescent services span inpatient psychiatric care, outpatient programs, residential treatment, and even a structured summer program for teens. Children’s services focus on outpatient care, and a distinct Older Adults service line is built for the unique psychiatric needs of seniors.
Clinically, Parkwood treats the full range of acute and persistent psychiatric conditions, including depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, anxiety, trauma, substance use and co-occurring disorders. The campus is set in what the facility describes as a private, peaceful environment designed to be conducive to healing, with personalized care plans developed by an interdisciplinary team for each patient.
Parkwood maintains a telehealth program for follow-up and outpatient appointments and publishes a clear referral and assessment process for new patients. Insurance and financial information is available through the admissions team. The free-assessment line is (662) 895-4900, with a national toll-free number at (800) 477-3422.
