About Seneca Health Services Inc Crosswinds Center
Crosswinds Center is one of two intensive treatment locations operated by Seneca Health Services, a non-profit Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) that has served wild, wonderful West Virginia since 1976. The Crosswinds campus on Industrial Park Road in Maxwelton anchors the substance use disorder side of a broader Seneca network that also includes four outpatient clinics across Greenbrier, Nicholas, Pocahontas and Webster Counties.
Crosswinds provides a deeply integrated continuum: medical detox, residential rehabilitation, intensive outpatient programming, and outpatient counseling. As a CCBHC, Seneca delivers comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health services with strong emphasis on access – the organization’s 24/7 crisis line, 1-888-SENECA9 (1-888-736-3229), connects callers around the clock, and Seneca explicitly notes that walk-ins are being accepted at clinic locations.
The clinical team is led by Medical Director Noel Jewell, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist. Clinical leadership includes Clinical Directors Savanna Babcock, MSW, LICSW, and Mital Patel, MA, MSW, LICSW, AADC. Their combined expertise spans psychiatry, clinical social work and addiction counseling, supporting Crosswinds’ approach of treating substance use, mental health and co-occurring conditions through coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
Seneca serves individuals of all ages, regardless of race, color, national origin, disability, sex, religion or any other legally protected status. Crosswinds accepts Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, private insurance, state insurance, sliding-scale and self-pay, and Seneca explicitly notes that financial considerations should not hinder clients from receiving care. The organization also operates intellectual disability support services, mental health programs and crisis services – giving Crosswinds clients access to a wider system of support across West Virginia.
