Seneca Health Services’ Summersville clinic at 131 Wellness Drive serves Nicholas County as one of the organization’s two intensive treatment locations alongside its four standard outpatient sites. Seneca has been providing behavioral health care to West Virginians for 50 years and is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center delivering integrated outpatient services across Greenbrier, Nicholas, Pocahontas, and Webster Counties.
At the Wellness Drive site, programming spans standard outpatient services as well as intensive outpatient (IOP) for clients who need more structured support than weekly counseling. Services are designed for adults and adolescents, with particular attention to Veterans, individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use diagnoses, people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, and clients dealing with trauma and PTSD. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a core modality used by Seneca’s clinical team.
Seneca’s interdisciplinary staff at the Summersville level includes Medical Director and Board-Certified Psychiatrist Noel Jewell, MD; Clinical Directors Savanna Babcock, MSW, LICSW and Mital Patel, MA, MSW, LICSW, AADC; and experienced nursing support. The center bills Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and most major commercial insurances, with sliding scale and financial assistance available so that ability to pay does not block access to care.
A hallmark of Seneca is round-the-clock crisis access through the SENECA9 line at (888) 736-3229. The Summersville clinic also accepts walk-ins for new clients, in keeping with Seneca’s emphasis on accessible rural behavioral health. Patients seeking to start services or coordinate care can call the central intake line or visit the clinic during posted hours.
