Sober Living Properties Draper House is the Draper-based location in the Sober Living Properties network—a Utah sober-living organization that runs seven transitional housing properties across the Salt Lake Valley. Set at 12736 South 300 East in a quiet residential neighborhood close to freeway access and major bus lines, Draper House gives adults in early recovery a structured, drug- and alcohol-free home from which to rebuild employment, relationships, and routine.
Unlike clinical rehab programs, sober living focuses on environment and accountability rather than direct medical treatment. Residents live in furnished homes with peers committed to sobriety, follow a strict zero-tolerance policy, attend regular house meetings facilitated by the sober house management team, secure sponsorship from a 12-step or similar sobriety program member, attend sobriety meetings each week, and submit to random drug testing. The Sober Living Checkpoints framework gives residents a defined progression through stages of early recovery with measurable criteria.
Sober Living Properties pairs its housing with outpatient programming for residents who need ongoing clinical work alongside transitional living. Outpatient services offer varying intensities of therapy and recovery skill-building, and telehealth is available for flexibility. The Draper House also benefits from the surrounding region’s outdoor recreation—hiking, skiing, fishing, swimming, and rock climbing are all part of the sober-fun amenities that residents access through the community.
Financially, the program is transparent. Sober Living Properties accepts PPO and HMO insurance, federal employee insurance, union health insurance, and private pay. It explicitly does not accept Medicare, Medi-Cal, or IEHP. With six sister houses—Millcreek, Holladay, Midvalley, Murray, Willowcreek, and Union Park—the Draper House is part of a broader network that lets residents shift among houses as their needs change while staying inside the same culture and structure.
