About VICTA
VICTA is a privately owned outpatient integrated healthcare program at 110 Elmwood Avenue in Providence, founded by clinicians with deep experience in addiction treatment who wanted to build a new paradigm of integrated care under one roof. The program is CARF-accredited and SAMHSA-certified as an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), authorizing it to provide Suboxone and other medications for substance use disorders alongside the counseling, mental health, and medical components of care.
The clinical team is built around physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, licensed chemical dependency professionals, master’s-level clinicians, and peer recovery coaches who collectively bring more than 100 years of combined experience in addiction and mental health treatment. Care is organized into four service lines: individual and group counseling, medications for substance use disorder, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and integrated dual diagnosis treatment, with ambulatory medical care wrapped around them so clients do not have to coordinate primary care separately during early recovery.
VICTA’s catchment includes a notably multilingual population. SAMHSA records confirm services delivered in English, Italian, Arabic, Polish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, along with American Sign Language access for Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients. The clinic serves adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults; veterans; pregnant women; court-ordered clients; and people living with HIV/AIDS. Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, private insurance, and self-pay with sliding-scale options are accepted.
The program does not operate residential or inpatient detox on site; clients requiring medically supervised withdrawal are stabilized through partner hospital systems and then routed into VICTA outpatient services. The clinic’s branded approach — Empowering Individualized Recovery — emphasizes personalized treatment planning, harm reduction within a medical model, and the use of medication, therapy, and peer support together rather than sequentially.
