Wasatch Crest Treatment Services brands its model as Treatment Elevated, and the slogan is more literal than marketing language: the program operates a pair of gender-specific mountainside campuses set in Utah’s Wasatch Range. The Men’s Wasatch Campus and Women’s Jupiter Campus, located in and around Park City and Heber City, are designed to use natural beauty as a clinical asset—an environment intended to foster clarity, resilience, and inspiration during early recovery.
The clinical continuum is broad. Clients can enter through a social detox program, transition into gender-specific residential treatment, and step down through partial hospitalization / day treatment, traditional intensive outpatient, an evening IOP, or a virtual IOP for those who need remote access. Transitional living gives clients a structured bridge between residential care and independent life. Conditions treated include alcohol, prescription drug, heroin, and methamphetamine addiction, alongside dual-diagnosis presentations involving trauma and PTSD.
Wasatch Crest’s therapeutic toolkit reflects its setting. Mindfulness therapy, adventure-based experiential work on an adopted trail, equine therapy, cognitive therapy, and a 12-step integration program form the program’s signature modalities. Specialty tracks include dedicated veterans’ addiction treatment and a first responder-focused addiction and trauma program designed for police, firefighters, EMS, and other public safety workers managing both occupational trauma and substance use.
Founded by Jim Huffman, the program is Joint Commission accredited and accepts Medicaid, TRICARE, private insurance, self-pay, and financing options. The Wasatch Warriors alumni program extends the community beyond discharge, and self-reported outcomes published by the facility state that 96% of men and 95% of women said their treatment goals were accomplished, reflecting the program’s emphasis on measurable client outcomes.
