About
About White Deer Run Lancaster
White Deer Run of Lancaster operated at 53 North West End Avenue in central Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as part of the seven-site White Deer Run Treatment Network. The location historically provided medically supervised detoxification, residential rehabilitation and outpatient programming for adult men dealing with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, and was federally registered as an Opioid Treatment Program with CARF accreditation.
Clinical services centered on cognitive behavioral therapy and 12-step support groups, with personalized treatment planning that addressed alcohol, heroin, prescription opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and synthetic substances. Co-occurring trauma and PTSD, court-ordered referrals and HIV/AIDS-positive patients were documented populations of focus in federal SAMHSA records.
Per Acadia Healthcare’s April 2026 announcement reported in Google search results, the White Deer Run Lancaster facility is closing along with the Lebanon site, and admissions have been halted. Prospective patients are routinely redirected to the network’s other Pennsylvania campuses in Allenwood, Lehigh and the three York-area locations, which share clinical leadership and the same continuum-of-care model.
Regional Director Christina Kamau, MBA, led the Lancaster operation, with Medical Director Jeffrey Yocum, D.O. covering Lancaster, York, Lebanon and Lehigh and Director of Admissions Donna Bookhammer, CADC, CCDP, ICADC, CTRTC handling intake across the network. The program accepted Medicaid, Pennsylvania state insurance, commercial private insurance, TRICARE and self-pay, with insurance verification handled as part of the network’s centralized admissions process.
