About
About Willamette Family Inc
Willamette Family Inc is a long-established Eugene, Oregon nonprofit serving Lane County since 1964 with a mission of saving lives and building families through substance use treatment. The organization operates a multi-site continuum of care centered on residential and detox services for adults, with strong specialization in serving pregnant and parenting women alongside men’s residential programming. The administrative hub is at 1050 High Street in Eugene, with treatment services at 605 West 4th Avenue and additional program locations across the area.
Clinically, Willamette Family delivers a full continuum: Medical Detox at the Buckley facility, sobering services, high-intensity residential treatment through Sunrise House and Carlton House, the Families in Recovery program for pregnant women and mothers with young children, intensive day treatment, traditional outpatient care, and DUII services. The Rapid Access Center provides quick entry into treatment for clients in crisis. Christine Harper, BA, CADC-II, QMHA-II, serves as Director of Men’s Residential Services, anchoring the program’s certified addiction counseling leadership.
The program treats substance use disorders, alcohol and opioid addiction, HIV/AIDS, trauma and PTSD, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. SAMHSA records confirm dedicated programming for pregnant women, men, women, HIV/AIDS support, and deaf or hard-of-hearing clients — the latter supported through American Sign Language services, a meaningful access feature that many Oregon programs do not offer. Trauma-informed care is integrated across services, reflecting the high prevalence of trauma histories among clients entering residential treatment.
Willamette Family is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA), a signal of sustained investment in quality systems and outcomes measurement. Payment options include Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan), private insurance, sliding-scale self-pay, and other state-funded options for eligible clients. The agency relies on community contributions and foundation support alongside fee-for-service revenue, reflecting its nonprofit mission of accessibility for Lane County residents regardless of financial means. Clients can begin the intake process through the Rapid Access Center or by calling the main line at (541) 762-4300.
