About Bio Medical Behavioral Health System
Biomed Behavioral Healthcare’s Flint location at 1044 Gilbert Street is an outpatient addiction treatment clinic serving Genesee County and surrounding Mid-Michigan communities. Operating under the leadership of CEO Sean McCarroll, who carries on his father’s mission to operate the agency in Michigan, the program is structured around medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder paired with counseling, group meetings, and AcuDetox-based ear-acupuncture support.
The clinical model is intentionally MAT-forward. Biomed pairs FDA-approved addiction medications with behavioral counseling and group recovery work, anchored in a personalized treatment plan that the team builds for each patient at intake. The program’s framing on its own website describes the approach as ‘treating the whole person, not just the addiction’ — a reflection of how the clinic understands opioid use disorder as a chronic condition embedded in social, emotional, and family context.
Biomed Flint operates as a registered Opiate Health Home, which expands the resources the program can deliver beyond standard outpatient services. That designation lets the team coordinate prescriptions, peer recovery rides to and from the clinic, individual and family support, and transitional care across providers. Operating hours emphasize early-morning dosing access — Monday through Friday from 5 AM to 1 PM with Saturday hours from 8 AM — designed around patients who need to receive medication before reporting to work.
Accreditation is held through CARF. Payment options include Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, state-funded behavioral health dollars, and self-pay. American Sign Language access is available per SAMHSA records. To begin intake, the Flint location can be reached at (810) 422-9406 extension 155, or at YourRightsFlint@biomedmat.org. The organization’s sister location in Roseville, Macomb County, serves clients in the Detroit metro area at 31581 Gratiot Avenue.
