About Community Behavioral Health
Community Behavioral Health (CBH) is the mental health and addiction services line of Community First Solutions, a Butler County, Ohio nonprofit network that has served the region since 1918. The Hamilton clinic at 820 South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard provides outpatient behavioral health services for substance use, alcohol use, opioid use, and co-occurring mental health disorders, along with care for trauma-related conditions.
Clinically, the program offers intensive outpatient (IOP) and standard outpatient counseling. SAMHSA records confirm Joint Commission accreditation, which signals national clinical standards for both safety and quality. Treatment combines cognitive behavioral therapy with individual and group counseling, psychiatric services, and telehealth options for clients who need flexibility. The program is trauma-informed and equipped to serve Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients.
CBH’s population reach is unusually broad. SAMHSA flags adolescents, veterans, seniors, men, women, court-involved clients, and pregnant clients, and the agency’s broader Community First Solutions network — which also operates senior living communities, post-acute rehab, pharmacy services, home health, preschool, and the LifeSpan and Foundations Counseling programs — provides natural pathways for whole-person care. The agency serves approximately 3,500 behavioral health clients annually.
Financially, CBH accepts Medicaid, Medicare, most private insurance, TRICARE, state insurance, and self-pay. Sliding-scale fees and financial assistance are available. Multilingual services are offered in English, Polish, and Tagalog, reflecting Butler County’s diverse population. With 100-plus years of community presence, Joint Commission accreditation, and integration with Community First Solutions’ broader continuum, CBH is one of the more substantial behavioral health resources in southwestern Ohio.
